This air suspension strut 4E0616002E 4E0616001E for the Audi A8 type D4 / 4H corresponds technically and visually
to the original Audi CDC shock absorber.
Save on repair costs and save yourself further complications with a
shock absorber that is delivered in exactly the same way as from
Audi.
This air suspension strut is completed at HONGGU Auto Parts, filled
with gas and checked.
It is therefore prepared for simple, direct installation.
For offers without an air expansion tank, you have to expect that
the old tank that you have to use again may be leaking.
For offers that do not provide an expansion tank, the problem is
that you have to replace both sides to get the same spring comfort.
Active inner valve in the shock absorber.
This means that this shock absorber reacts actively to the driving
comfort you choose.
You get an air suspension damper with CDC damping function
(continuous damping control).
Hydraulic shock absorber, with internal valve.
Fed by a complex sensor system, the control unit changes its mode
of operation
depending on the surface of the road,
depending on the style of driving,
depending on the mode of drive dynamics system "Drive Select".

What is an air suspension struts?
As a starting point, it is important to discuss what is air
suspension and how does it differ from traditional suspension
systems? The main difference between a traditional shock or strut
is that they have a dampening mechanism set to a certain ride
control feel while an air suspension system uses an air compressor
in combination with air struts and suspension air bags to control
the feel of the ride.
Air suspension has several advantages over traditional shocks and
struts. The first is that the ride quality is often controlled by
the driver of the vehicle. Therefore, if you want a softer ride you
can set your air suspension system to deliver that and vice versa
if you are looking for a stiffer, rougher ride. The second
advantage is that you can control ride height, some systems are
advanced in that they automatically control this for you. The final
advantage of an air suspension system is weight management. If you
load the back of your SUV with a large amount of groceries from the
store, the air suspension system either automatically adjusts to
handle it or you can manually adjust it. For traditional shocks and
struts the level of rebound is set and therefore no matter what the
weight of your load is, you have to stick with it. This often
creates a sagging rear end when carrying a heavy load.
While an air suspension system is more complex, the advantages are clear. The system is comprised of a central air suspension compressor as well as air struts within an air bag at each wheel. The air compressor pressurised the air struts as needed to control the feel. Other components can be seen in the diagram above, all of which are mainly air lines to transfer pressure and driers (filter) to complete the system.
What Happens When an Air Suspension Strut Fails
A worn-out strut can result in a lot of driveability issues. It may cause your vehicle to roll when you press your brakes. or squat once you start accelerating. When making turns, a worn-out strut may also cause your vehicle to lean to one side.
Faulty struts also can’t absorb the impact when your car bounces due to bumps on the road. Aside from that, the front-end struts are crucial for steering and alignment.
It isn’t safe to drive with bad struts. Driving with a bad air suspension system will not only make the ride uncomfortable but also put you and your passengers’ safety at risk
Excessive Moisture
Moisture in an air suspension is normal. However, excess moisture in the system may mean that the air dryer assembly is malfunctioning. When visually inspecting the air springs and airbags, make sure to look for signs of rust or corrosion. That’s a clear indicator that you need to have your air dryer replaced along with other faulty components.
Once you notice anything wrong with your air suspension system, have your vehicle checked by a mechanic. If it isn’t the air struts that are faulty, chances are something else is wrong with the system, so it is best to address the problem right away with the help of an expert.
How Much Does an Air Suspension Strut Cost?
An air suspension strut replacement usually costs around $250 to $1000, depending on the brand you choose. It can be sold individually or in sets of two. Make sure to check how many you need before making any purchase.
Finding the Right Fit
Although universal air struts are being sold on the market today, most suspension components are vehicle-specific.
