Components of the air suspension system
An air suspension system generally has three basic components. They are air supply, the air bags and the height control valves. Drier, Air Pump, Control Module, Air Line, Height Sensor, Suspension air bag, Solenoid

The air supply
The air supply system consists of the engine air compressor, the air tanks, air valves and air lines. The engine air compressor supplies air for all the air equipment on the vehicle. The pressure delivered by the compressor varies. For several years, the air supply was maintained around 120 to 125 psi but on some new vehicles this has been improved to 135 psi. Dash gauges are present that will supply system pressure information but all vehicles have what we say to as a “pop off valve”. You can get the valve “pop off” when the system reaches the maximum air pressure.

The air suspension consists of the following parts.

· Shock absorber (damper)
·airbag
· Compressor / fuel tank
·valve
· Instrument / wiring / piping

Some parts are the same as the suspension using a coil spring, but there are many parts related to adjusting air, which is the most important feature of the air suspension. We will use the most basic types of conventional types and explain the main components.

Shock absorber (damper)

It is a tubular part that everyone is familiar with a shock absorber. When the spring (spring) contracted spring (spring) is retreated (generating damping force), it acts as a relaxation force. The air suspension uses a T-airbag to serve as a spring, but their effect is the same.

Airbag (air spring)

It can be said without exaggeration, it is the protagonist in the air suspension. It is mounted on the upper part of the shock absorber.

By increasing and lowering the internal air pressure, the height of the vehicle can be increased or lowered. When a large amount of air enters the airbag, it will expand and make the car grow high. Conversely, when the air is evacuated, it will deflate and make the car beyond the low.

Compressor / can

As you can imagine from the airbag described, we need a mechanism to deliver air into the airbag. To this end, a can for collecting air to be delivered to the airbag and a compressor producing air stored in the can and contributes to a stable supply.

valve

Only by compressor and gas tanks cannot adjust the air pressure in the airbag, so install the required valve.

There are a variety of operation modes, one is a manual (mechanical) formula, can be mechanically operated by pressing the switch, and the other is a valve with a solenoid valve (solenoid valve), which is electrically used. It is a type of automatic (electric type) run.

Instrument / wiring / pipe

An instrument that displays the airbag in the airbag is installed. By adjusting the air pressure while viewing the instrument, you can accurately understand the air pressure of your favorite air suspension (ie the height of the vehicle and the quality of the ride).

Since it is necessary to ensure that the power can rotate the compressor, we have also conducted wiring to connect to the compressor and battery power to send air.
